LONDON: Bahria Town, London Neurosurgery Partnership and London Neuro Sciences Centre Ltd have signed a historic agreement to revolutionise healthcare centre in Pakistan.
Present on the occasion were Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz Hussain, and a specialist team of London’s top 19 surgeons from the world-renowned medical centre of Harley Street Clinic London including Richard Gullan, Irfan Malik, Chris Chandler, Nick Thomas, David Bell, Christos Tolias, Senan Barazi, Dr Shujjauddin, Bahram Faquri, Saqib Bashir, Shafafi, Arif Khan, Azhar Khan, Dr Zubair, Robert Weeks, Dr N Ahmad, DominicoValenti, David Lawrence and Kostas Barakas. Under the agreement signed four months ago, spinal and neurosurgery rehabilitation and never injury repair centres will be established in Bahria Town hospitals at Bahria Enclave Islamabad and Bahria Golf City Islamabad.
The centres will cater to medical needs of APS victim, Ibrahim, and people who do not have access to European countries for proper treatment.
For the purpose, state-of-the-art machinery and equipment have already been purchased for the centres being established in Bahria Golf City Islamabad and Bahria Enclave Islamabad while installation will be completed by October this year under the supervision of British surgeons. Hiring of doctors and surgeons will also start in a few months, who will undergo a six-month training programme.
Senior surgeons from UK and US will perform keyhole spine surgery, robotic spine surgery and latest state-of-the-art spine related surgeries in these centres. The centres are aimed at providing high quality medical treatment, which the patients usually experience during their stay at the Harley Street Clinics and other top hospitals in UK.
The hospital will be a spine specialist tertiary referral centre for the rest of the country and will deal with all sorts of complex pathologies.

All the facilities will be provided to patients under one roof where poorest of the poor patients will receive specialised care free of cost.
