LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority’s (PFA) ‘quality food’ drive’s team imposed fines on six eateries in Lahore, Faisalabad and Gujranwala.
The PFA team conducted a raid on Ice Food and Restaurant and Bismillah Restaurant in Lahore’s Faisal Town area and fined it for using blue chemical drums to store food and poor cleanliness arrangements.
The team also imposed Rs 7,500 fine on Asli Karachi Paratha in Liberty Market area for using substandard nutrients and non-presence of expiry dates.
A team in Gujranwala imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on Riaz Restaurant in Model Town area on poor physical condition of workers and using expired edible oils then sealed it Faisalabad’s team imposed a fine of Rs 45,000 to Al-Jannat Sweets & Bakers for presence of a mouse in storage area.
